The Region takes a zero-tolerance approach to abuse or potential abuse of children and adults at risk. As Sisters of the Little Company of Mary we are committed to engaging with those whom we meet with dignity respect, and compassion. We embrace and fully commit to comply with the Australian National Catholic Safeguarding Standards and the National Guidelines for the Prevention of and Response to Sexual Abuse in Aotearoa New Zealand upon which this Policy Document is founded. The Little Company of Mary is committed to proactively monitoring the safeguarding of children and adults at risk in the Kingdom of Tonga and the progression of its safeguarding framework.
The Little Company of Mary understands that people often look to the Church in times of great need and great vulnerability. We encourage anybody harmed to come forward and voice their concern.
